What is inkd?
Webcomics are basically like Newspaper Comics, but rock WAY harder! Seriously, they're brilliant and hilarious. Most of those old raggy newspapers have a digital equivalent, but where the hell is my 'funnies' page?! Forgotten, forlorn, nowhere to be found (digitally).
Thousands of Webcomics are swimming around online, illustrated and written everyday through the blood, sweat, and tears of the passionate creators who care to make them. Yet they still have no platform just for them! Hogwash!
Inkd is creating a distribution platform just for Webcomics! We think a much larger audience is ready to enjoy them, but unfortunately they’re difficult to discover, organize, and consume. Inkd wants to solve these problems!
Using a Twitter-like experience, Inkd will push a stream of content from the webcomics you subscribe to into one centralized feed. When you decide to read a new issue, Inkd will then immerse you in a comixology-like experience. Sweet!
Our first mission is to support Authors by making publishing easy and convenient, and in ways that support them directly (through increased traffic and ad revenue). Our secondary mission is to make you laugh your face off by helping you enjoy brief (or elongated), humorous moments throughout the day!
